On Sunday we treated the boys to a showing of Monsters University at the Galaxy Cinemas. Jeremiah made four trips to the bathroom but Sebastian watched the entire movie. He was so involved he cried at the end despite knowing everything would turn out OK in the end. Here they pose with Turbo the snail.

Sebastian loves playing video games but Mommy refuses to give permision to play on Dad’s tablet. Sebastian phoned Dad himself (with Mommy for support) and asked for and received permission.

Tuesday and Wednesday were so hot that I treated myself to a breakfast outside with my coffee and newspaper. Lately I’ve been starting my day with a bacon and egg scramble with cheese. Jeremiah and Sebastian didn’t get dressed all day!

I spent some time on Monday gathering items to sell on Kijiji. I posted them shortly after lunch and had the first inquiries within an hour. By mid-day on Tuesday, I had sold half of the items on the list! It felt good to clear out some big things!

Jeremiah surprised me by choosing his own entire outfit on Monday. It was a little unconventional, but accounted for all possibilities. He wore socks and shorts, a hockey jersey and an Angry Birds necktie. Classy!

After three and a half years, I finally decided it was time to bite the bullet and paint the guest room. I was nervous about how well the paint would cover the existing texture, but after painting a test spot, I went for it. Jeremiah was very keen to help so I gave him a paintbrush and a spot to work on. His birthday suit was the perfect outfit!

On Friday, Sebastian was invited to a birthday party at his friend Blake’s so Jermiah had a date with Mommy and Dad. We went for supper at the Noodle House, then for a short walk to the park at the Golden Circle and Recreation Centre. We spotted the new spray park under construction and found the new location for Francis the Pig, one of Red Deer’s Ghosts. Jeremiah thought he was pretty neat!

Sebastian has been talking a lot about Advent calendars over the last couple of weeks, so Mommy spent some time Saturday night building an End-of-Summer Countdown Calendar. We spent some time on Sunday coming up with activity ideas to fill the boxes with.
