When my daughter was preparing her music for the wedding she asked what song should be played when the grandparents and parents walk down the aisle. It was a casual wedding with contemporary music. I thought a bit and said let me look at my music. As I was scrolling through I saw this song and always loved it so I played it while I was looking. I realized about a minute into it that there was a tear rolling down my cheek. My daughter saw it too and said "that's it - we're using that song". At first I thought no way, then when I listened to the lyrics more I realized it was the perfect song. Since it is the grandparents and parents who love and nourish the kids as the song says and they are also the ones who lament about them growing up too soon it couldn't be more perfect. I really had a hard time keeping from bawling my eyes out walking down the aisle realizing my youngest was about to get married and leave home.
