I have been a Keith Urban fan for many years and have been fortunate enough to see him in concert dozens of times. I saw him in Chicago a few months after “God’s Been Good to Me” was released on his 2004 Golden Road album. I loved the lyrics (“Everything I have and everything I see is just another reminder that God’s been good to me”) the first time I heard them – they touched my heart deeply. Hearing Keith perform the song live was pretty emotional for me. The lyrics sum up exactly the way I feel each and every day. I do not deserve God’s blessings. I mess up time after time – I have walked down paths I am not proud of – yet, God’s blessings continue to be poured down upon me. When I look around at my life there is no doubt that GOD HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME! Journaled 3/28/2014.
