Journaling reads:  It’s not like I live in Manhattan.  I don’t have to drive very far to see an open field but I do live very near the local University and just a couple blocks from Main Street.   When our neighbors first got chickens it was fine, but then the summer came and the rooster was crowing at the first sign of light - about 5:30 am!  And then when you went out to work in the garden your ears were assaulted by the cacophony of chickens squawking.  We found out they had about 30 chickens, 6 of which were roosters!  This last summer it was better.  I think enough neighbors complained that they downsized.  I don’t mind if my neighbors want to have chickens.  I just think there is a big difference between a “farm amount” and a “city amount”.
