Journaling: For the past four years, Laurie has worked full-time as a case manager (now Director) for emancipated minors and adults with mental disorders. That in and of itself would be challenging and exhausting, but she has also been attending Brandman University working toward obtaining her Master's in Psychology - specializing in couples therapy and family counseling. This means that she started taking on clients about a year ago, meeting with them weekly, in order to fulfill the requirements of her practicum. Enough already, right? Nope. She just celebrated her 8th wedding anniversary on May 20th, so she works to maintain a healthy relationship with her equally busy hubby, who happens to be the youth pastor at their church. Laurie is nothing if not a supportive wife! She stays active with the youth group, attending weekly meetings and accompanying them on mission trips. Through all of this, she has kept just one friend who has been there through thick and thin since high school (he even served as a bridesmaid at her wedding). What's the catch you ask? Her BFF lives about 2 1/2 hours from her. It takes planning and stamina to make the trip and hold on to her relationship with Sid.
