Summer has officially come to an end, my love, but you and I are holding on to those last little traces of warm weather and golden sunlight that seems to make an appearance just for us. The soft sunshine wraps around us like a warm blanket on a chilly fall morning. The balmy air brings us a quiet peace and an assurance that, in this moment everything is just alright. Not everyone is like you and me, my dear boy. There are a lot of crazy folks out there that enjoy cooler weather, even some so bonkers to be wishing for snow! While we can appreciate the beauty of the change of seasons and admire the magical wonderland created as soft snow drifts outside our windows, it is summer that runs through our veins. As the leaves start to fall, my Kman, it is a sign that winter is approaching here in Wisconsin. (Our winters tend to last 6 months!) It is a time for the trees, animals and land to take a long rest. It is good for the two of us to slow down too and catch our breaths. As I see you gazing out the window this winter, I know you'll be secretly wishing for summer and I am right along with you, boy! But, take a gentle breath in my dear and enjoy the changes around you. Admire the beautiful colors that are fall and admire the large snowflakes, the icicles as long as swords and the intricate swirling patterns of the cool breezes on the snow drift. For my child, life is full of these changes and we must embrace them all.
