Journaling: Catey asked for a haircut tonight when I finished cutting her brother Chris's hair. I thought she just wanted a trim so, "Sure, honey girl. No problem." Wrong! She wanted the cut I gave her when she was five! Well, there goes the Kool-Aid dye job... I had a sneaking suspicion that parental permission had been neatly sidestepped, so I told her she had to check with Mom and Dad before I would start chopping at those long locks. Sure enough, the little miss was trying to pull a fast one on her grandma. Pfft... I wasn't born yesterday, you know. She thought they (Mom especially) would say no. Well, in the words of Gomer Pyle, "Su-prise, su-prise, su-prise!" I still think the cut looks adorable on her, and now she and her Aunt Laurie can be twins for Thanksgiving!
