Journaling:  In stop and go traffic on Broughton Street, we were rear ended by a motorist in a maroon Buick.  He and Jim got out to look at the damage (minor for us), and agreed to move around the corner to a less crowded street to exchange insurance information.

Unfortunately, the driver of the Buick failed to get out of his car and took off down a nearby alley.  I got only the first three letters of his license plate.  Fortunately there was a police car nearby and they had us pull over next to one of the many parks.  Just as the two officers were getting out of their police car, another fender bender happened right next to us!  That one was a little more serious as you can see by the some of the debris next to the Officer Williams’s photo.

Not exactly the way we wanted to spend our afternoon, but at least no one was hurt and the fender just has some scrapes.  The next Friday we went to one of the police substations and got the police report for our insurance company.
