Waking up with an awesome cup of coffee is how I start off the morning. I have to work today so I check on the sleeping kids, do a few household chores and then head out the door.
My job is to drive a group of summer camp kids and their chaperones to the zoo. As one of the drivers, I get in free so I spent the day photographing and watching various animals while checking in with my own kids every so often. I was a little tired after all that walking in 87 degree heat, but I still needed to drive everyone back to their school. There was a huge traffic jam on the highway so I did not get back to my own home until close to 5:00 p.m.
Since my kids are hungry as soon as I get home, there is no rest for me….Time to fix dinner. Surprisingly my husband and both kids complimented me on the delicious meal consisting of Teriyaki chicken, rice, dinner rolls, and spinach dip.
After dinner, we enjoy spending some family time watching television and one of our favorite shows is on tonight, Shark Tank. After the kids go upstairs, I can finally spend some time catching up on my digital scrapbooking before heading off to sleep at around 1:00 a.m. (After all, it is a Friday night!)
