Magical Scraps Galore: Washington DC https://store.gingerscraps.net/Washington-DC.htmlMartin Luther King Speech: U.S. National Archives https://www.archives.gov/press/exhibits/dream-speech.pdfJournaling: The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is new since I was in Washington D.C. many years ago.  It was to our advantage that we were on a tour bus that stopped at multiple memorials.  Our bus driver encouraged us to take note of the many quotes we saw around the memorial and to share our favorites.  I am grateful he asked us to do this because it has given me time to contemplate and reflect on some of the words that meant the most to me personally.  I have spent more time reading Dr. King’s “I have a Dream”  speech and I don’t believe we are seeing his hopes and dreams  fulfilled yet.  In fact, racial tensions are still high in our world today.  How sad it is to me that we cannot just see everyone has children of God. Why must there be so much hate in the world? I suppose a scripture comes to mind that reminds me that there must be “opposition in all things.”  I have faith  that someday God will make it all right  and that ALL lives will matter for we are all sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.
