Since I was a little child, everyone always talked about Shady Maple. When the kids were old enough, we tried to take them to Shady Maple for their free birthday meal. Some years we missed due to living elsewhere in the country, some birthdays we combined and some birthdays we actually made it to Shady Maple on their actual birthday to earn their free meal! It was always a fun time, especially when the extended family piled in the car for the 50-minute drive!
