"Hop on and try your hand at balancing, climbing, and swinging across bridges. Can you make it across Alligator Gulch without falling off?" After you enter the North Carolina Aquarium, there is an area nestled back under the shade of the trees with pine needles to cushion your feet; they call it "Nature's Gymnasium." The giant sign encourages visitors to use what's in nature to get out and play. The kids loved it! It smelled so fresh and clean, and we were the only ones there at the time. Getting out of the hot and humid sunshine was nice for a moment, too. The kids posed for a few pictures, but they were anxious to get into the aquarium, so we didn't stay too long. It was very relaxing, though, after the drive to get there.
