Journaling: This was a time when Arabella was never without her tiara or heels. Even when ready for bed, she adorned them. We could hear her for miles, clanking away on the hardwood floors. A time of two year old Princess dreams, an ever emerging imagination and a feminine desire to be royalty. Those extra little touches to each outfit just seemed to make her feel special and act a little more, well, prissy. She was adorable, a joy to watch, and a study in the female mystique.
This is journaled in March of 2011. Bella is six now and although the plastic shoes and crowns still see the light of day on occasion, they are often replaced with books and video games. Her creativity is still as active as ever, but the focus of her imagination has changed. A couple of things will always be true, however, regardless of how it looks.
My girl will always be my little diva. And she will always be my Arabella.
