Journaling : It was in December 2006. Ani’s wedding was the first family wedding that the kids attended. Maitu and I went to India early so that we could buy outfits for the many occassions that constitutes a traditional wedding. Maitu had worn saris only a couple of times before so it was a challenge for her to stay in one for long periods! In Australia, she always dressed in rather subdued colours, just like everybody else. It was such a pleasure for me to see her in bright Indian colours!
