JOURNALING:
4 things I   love   about ...
YOU
After 30 years of having Shih Tzus in my life, in 2009 I adopted a “Crested Yorkie” (1/4 Chinese Crested, 3/4 Yorkshire Terrier).  When I first saw her, my reaction was, “She has such a big nose.  And, where’s her tail?” I’ve come to love that “big” nose and “stump for a tail.”

I love her terrier temperament, and all that entails, from barking jags to mischief that she perpetrates only when we are around to witness her devilment. This WAS a full roll of toilet paper.
Fortunately, the “terror” is toned down by the Chinese Crested in her. I love the little touches of  “crested”  white, as seen on her rear paws, chin, and chest.
She has two “jobs” in the house - guard duty (just ask the mail carrier how well she handles that chore) and greeting the family upon their return to the homestead. I LOVE being showered with puppy kisses, even if I’ve only been gone long enough to take out the trash.
A certain TV host touts the benefits of adopting a “rescue” dog. He continually says, “...and they never forget what you did for them.”  I used to think, yeah, right. Until - [pointing arrow] came into my life.
BOY WAS HE RIGHT!
