““I’ll go where you want me to go dear Lord” has never meant so much as receiving a mission call. Knowing this call has come directly from God makes hearing WHERE Matthew is going a little easier to swallow. We had each made predictions a few months ago and not one single person guessed Ecuador. I think we were all a little stunned but no one was more stunned than Matthew himself. His reaction was priceless and I am so glad I caught it on film. Dad was a little disappointed as he wanted him to stay in the states. The rest of us are just thankful the waiting game is over and we finally know WHERE we are sending our baby off to for 2 years. He leaves June 22 for the MTC in Provo, Utah. He will be there for 3 weeks then will go to the MTC in Peru until it’s time to start preaching. He is going to be a fantastic missionary and we are so proud of this decision he has made. We will miss him so much but are exciting to embark on this journey with him for the next two years!”
