I chose to go to the aquarium on an impulse when I was in Copenhagen for a few days. I was ready early and the aquarium was open before other places that I had in mind. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! Beautifully designed, the aquarium has a huge selection of marine life. The displays are well thought out and there was even a little ‘rainforest’ garden with birds and butterflies for variety.
There is something quite hypnotic about the lovely creatures lazily swimming by. I couldn’t look away! The big tank with the sharks and rays and other large fishes was the best! Who would have thought that even Piranhas are so beautiful! There was a tunnel through the big tank; inside I felt as if I myself was at the bottom of the sea! It was so peaceful and calming. I finally left the aquarium very reluctantly. Great experience!
