"It is significant in that it allows both leaders and Soldiers to come together to celebrate their Rite"s of Passage as a team. It reminds the new officers of the great responsiblity they have leading new Soldiers, and it shows the new Soldiers that their officers go through training at the same location they do. It is this commitment to standards and excellence that make the Military Police Corps so special."

"The combination Rites of Passage is used as a training tool for both the new officers and Soldiers to understand that they both start at the same location, and have to go through a Rites of Passage before they are considered a member of the Military Police Regiment.

On 16 Feb 2017, both Echo and Charlie Companies participated in a joint ceremony signifying their completion of 20-weeks of training. Today, starts your journey as a United States Army Echo 31!

Dustin, today is the end of one journey and the beginning of another. You have proven that with hard work, determination and belief in yourself that you can do anything; even when some people around you doubt your ability. You have always live outside the box of what others believed you should do and always done what you felt best. It has proven to be a gift that has driven you through life and gotten you through some very tough times. I am PROUD of you! When you told me you wanted to join the military and be a Military Police officer I was unsure how to respone. Honestly, I was unsure if this was the right path for you. However, I came to realize I had to let you follow your own journey and figure it out just as I did. I was not going to standin your way and be the thing that held you back after teaching you to spread your wings.
