JOURNALING: Since July 16, 2017 was National Ice Cream Day, my mother and I decided to go to the new Johnson's Ice Cream shop in Dublin. Johnson's has been around since 1950 at their original Bexley location. It started out as a small walk-up ice cream shop, but has expanded to include a luncheon menu as well. In fact, their tuna melts are SO GOOD, that is where I went for my birthday this spring. Since my mother could not join my sister and me, we bought a couple of pints of the iconic local brand to take back to her. The Dublin shop harkens back to the original Johnson's as it is just an ice cream shop. There was a constant stream of patrons while we were there enjoying a double dip cone (my mother) and a sundae (me).
