Playing around with my latest hobby, acrylic flow painting, is just so much fun. No artistic talent is needed, you simply choose your colours, mix the paints and pour! The results are amazing and you never know what the completed look will be. A downside is that you might love the way it looks now but half an hour later, it will look totally different. For this pour, I tried out a new idea that I saw on YouTube where you add a few drops of silicone oil to the chosen colours, layer each colour into a container then upend the container onto your canvas, lift and tilt. The silicone creates the “cells” and it is so much fun watching the painting develop and change. Here the first photo is the brand new pour and the others are the changes that occurred over a period of two hours. Amazing!
