A fun but long and tiring day! My Fitbit registered 17, 746 steps & 12.49 km walked, most in intense heat & lots of steps, lots of uphill. Montereriggioni is a stop along the pilgrim route from France to Rome. In the shops here I met a young fellow with a pack on his back, doing the Via Francigena, the pilgrim route - he was sleeping in forests each night.
