JOURNALING: We had this spinner bird feeder in our yard for a while until Hurricane Irma took it down. It looked like a flower with little baskets hanging from it in which you would put the bird seed. When the bird landed on the basket, the weight of the bird would cause the spinner to move. We THOUGHT we had placed it far enough away from the trees that a squirrel could not jump down onto it. We didn’t count on the squirrel being able to scramble up the wrought iron pole to reach the seed, but he could!! (Pictures taken with my cell phone.) 3/25/17
