Journaling reads: When we landed, the first thing we did was to stock up on our treat bag - every flavour a nostalgic taste of childhood.  I would like to say we exercised restraint, but sadly that did not happen.  We picked up the Pear Drops, Jazzies, Dolly Mixtures, Flying Saucers, and Sherbet Fountains at a sweet shop in Bath, we added Maltesers, Crunchies and Fudge Bars along the way. Moira bought mum the biggest box of Black Jacks you have ever seen when we got to Southport, and gave us John’s Jelly Babies. I bought Treacle Toffee, Toffee Bon Bons, Pontefract Cakes, Licorice Allsorts, and even more Dolly Mixtures from a sweet shop when we got to Stow on the Wold, then bought several flavours of fudge from Roly’s Fudge Shop next door. Unfortunately, the sweets were only the beginning of our decadence.  To the treat bag we added chocolate biscuits, fruit and orange Club Bars, cheese and onion crisps, Cadbury’s Chocolate Rolls, Tunnocks Wafers, ginger snaps, Jaffa Cakes and the list goes on. Visiting home is never a slimming experience.
