Dear Grandma & Grandpa,
You have been gone for a long time, but I want you to know how the lessons taught in your home still influence my daily life.
Family was always important to you - we could always count on each other. Your family is still close and supportive. Thank ou for your example of true family life.
Education was valued in your home, but no biases existed. whether education was formal or informal, it was the person who was valued, not a college degree. Your attitude served me well in 30 year career in public education, and in all aspects of my life.
You lived an exemplary life of service to family, friends and strangers as a Lutheran minister with his wife working at his side. I hope that you would be proud of my life as a teacher and volunteer as I attempt to follow in your footsteps!
My life has been blessed by your love and humanity! I miss you every day ... Love, p
