I remember buying our first Christmas tree with gift certificates given to us as wedding gifts at the local hardware for about $200 on sale. I loved decorating it with ornaments you had as a child, ornaments I grew up with and our new silver balls. I remember setting the timer and trying to take this picture. I wanted a good one and I wanted Honey Bear to sit nicely in front of the tree and be in the picture too. I remember decorating the trailer and feeling so proud of it. I had the nativity I grew up with and two given to us as wedding gifts. I remember sewing denim stockings, 4, you, me, Bear and the baby to be. YES! The baby! After only 4 months of marriage we found out a few weeks before Christmas that we would be adding to our family and we couldn’t have been more excited!! I love that I remember all these other things but what I remember most was the joy of the thought of motherhood! I wondered if I could be so happy about this child how must Mary have felt all those years ago knowing a Savior to the world was being formed within her?!
