(circle) We went into Hannibal, Missouri, hoping to find a hobby shop that David had seen in a model railroad magazine. We found the shop and I stayed in the car when he went in. I was reading something else, but really possessed by the desire to read Tom Sawyer as we saw the Mississippi river from Mark Twain’s home town.
(rectangle) The Mississippi River was still very high after storms and snow melt in April had caused record flooding.
