Journaling:
It was a scorcher of a day outside and you, Asia, and your sister and brother were just itching to go the pool, so mommy and nana decided to take you to the Northside Community Pool that afternoon to cool off. You could not wait to get into the pool. You took off running toward the pool the moment we walked through the doors, no fear what so ever of it being too deep for you. (After all, you are almost four and you can do anything right???). Mommy was chasing after you at top speed praying that the water did not go over your head before she could catch you; as you are still not a very strong swimmer.
Doodle, you were determined to do everything your older siblings did that afternoon, including jumping into the pool in the deep end. You kept mommy on her toes at all times running about the pool. Mom never had such a work out! My precious Doodle, you had such a blast splashing in the little water sprouts in the kiddies section of the pool. I prayed and wished you would stay there for quite some time because I knew it was not over your head.
Alas you had other plans! Miss Asia Rae, you saw your big sister go down the water-slide and you of course the little parrot you are decided you just had to do it too! The life guards told you that you were too small to go down all by yourself and you told them off in your own way, telling them you were almost four and could go potty on the potty all by yourself, thinking that would make any difference. I don’t think the life guard ever laughed so hard, as she made mommy take you down that water-slide on her lap. After that you were addicted to that silly slide and poor mommy probably got stuck taking you down about 30 or 40 times! But it was worth it watching you squeal with glee as we flew down the slide at top speeds.
We spent the afternoon there at the pool until we were wrinkled head toe and water logged and then headed home for the night. We had barely left the pool’s parking lot and you were already passed out sound to sleep in your car-seat, exhausted from a day at the pool!
