2011 was the introduction of my “Crostada Due” (kro-STAD-da DOO-ay) which is the Italian crostadas my Noni made, every day, any day; NO idea how she made it so easy! Due is Italian for two, as in 2 favors for my Davinities holiday treats.

By way of several family requests, I make 6 every year now and the many flavor requests for the jelly that’s baked into the pastry, inspired Crostada Due with two flavors on each pastry instead of the traditional one.
