I had my doubts when it snowed after Buckeye Chuck didn’t see his shadow. We had hardly any snow this after Snowmageddon and tons of snow last year. I was sure the other snow boot was going to drop on us and a major blizzard would come our way
Last year the first crocus greenery was starting to show in Mid-March, three weeks later. On this date we’d just had 7 MORE inches of snow! By the way, Chuck’s prediction was the same last year, so he didn’t have any bearing on the flowers.
So here we are, the first crocus buds pop in February, FEBRUARY! I hope another snowfall doesn’t crush the early and defiant buds.
