Journaling: This field trip completely freaked Brooklyn out. She’s decided she’ll never go there again, and that she won’t allow her kids to go either. The tour guide was mean, she said, and made them walk in a straight line with their hands behind their heads. They had to actually be locked -in a group, thankfully- in solitary confinement. He told them of hangings, ghosts, and about an 11-yr-old imprisoned for shooting his mother. She did enjoy the story of Dennis the Cat, who was found as a kitten and lived on the grounds his entire life. He was allowed to sleep with prisoners as a reward for good behavior. He was actually buried on the grounds when he died.
