This is the oldest picture that I have in the original. My grandmother let me keep it when I told her how much I liked it. It is my grandfather, Paul Vernon, and his older brother Lloyd. A man had come to their house offering to take and sell photographs with his goat -- an offer that would seem strange nowadays, but at the time, people were doing anything they could to make a living. I don't know the date it was taken, but it must have been in the late 1920s.
