Carol was able to come to Florida for a month. We had plenty of time to do special things so I didn’t cancel my class. (I have recently started to learn stain glass making.) She joined me in class just to watch and chat. Tanya told her if she wanted to make a simple item, Tanya would help her. Carol decided to make a suncatcher for Bruce. She picked out a pattern and traced it twice, cut one out for her pattern pieces and traced them on the desired glass. Tanya showed her how to cut the glass and grind it making sure it fit in the proper space. Between classes Tanya helped her by either cutting the rest of the things out, grinding, or doing some of the harder things. Carol was able to do most of the soldering and adding patina. She bought some chain to put around the anchor. She was able to solder the chain in place and in a few short weeks, With Tanya’s help, she had a great suncatcher to take home. Bruce loved it when she gave it to him. Took a few days to decide which window to put it in, but it is up and looking good!
