10/26/20: Wow! After I fell a few years back and splintered a tooth, I figured it wasn't worth the hassle to have the dentist take the root tip out. It started bothering me a couple weeks ago, so I made an appointment. The "small" root tip was actually almost 2 inches long! The dentist got it out fine and I am reporting how I'm doing every couple days through a survey they send me via text. The empty space in this picture to the right of the tooth with a filling in it is where they extracted the root tip. I took this picture and sent it to them last night because I was concerned I might have pulled the clot out, but they said not to worry unless it starts getting more swollen and hurting more. Technology makes such a difference!
