I love going to bed, I love my bed especially in the winter when I can snuggle up in sheets warmed with an electric blanket. I will read until my body tells me it is time to put the book down, and usually I will be asleep within a few minutes. HOWEVER, around 2 or 3am, I am awake and cannot get back to sleep.  Over the years, I have tried various ways to overcome this without much success, so now I accept it and try to find ways to while away those awake hours.  Since my hubby died, I do most of those things whilst staying in bed but on the worst nights I will get up. Many years ago when the kids were still kids, I would get up and iron which gave me a good feeling of being ahead of the list of next day chores. Now I hardly iron at all, let alone in the middle of the night...lol
