Journaling:
October 15
• Mom & Dad left around 7:15 AM but will spend the night around Nashville tonight.
• 2:00 PM: Jared, Emily, the Grands & Adam are on their way. Adam drove on his own this year.
• 10:15 PM: We are on the road to Dauphin Island!
All of my travel photos were taken while we were on the road & it was raining much of the time so unfortunately most of them are blurry.
• We always know we have arrived in Alabama when we see the rocket!
• When we see the water and bridges of the Bay Minette area we know we are almost to Dauphin!
• Seeing the DI bridge in the distance is the very best!
Jared, Emily & Adam arrived at DI early morning around 8:30 AM and stopped at Lighthouse Bakery, went to the shore down past the pier to nowhere and walked through the Bird Sanctuary and were surprised to see the alligator! We met them around 11:15 at the east end beach just past Fort Gaines.
We then all went back to Lighthouse and I had a toffee nut frappe and thankfully DejaVu was ready not long after that.
