Oh I can SO relate to your journaling! I have been a pessimist most of my life, my whole family is pretty negative. But I married someone who always tries to see the postive, and he's rubbing off on me. It really does get better with practice. Sometimes it seems like SO much work to find things to be thankful for, but it's so worth it to build that habit. Beautiful page!
This is a wonderful portrait page, Bekki! You look like a glamorous movie star, and your words are those of a very wise guru. The soft blues frame your pretty face beautifully, and your smile is like a 1000 watt bulb! Your clusters are great, too; I like the teensy ones scattered here and there
My first husband often told me that I always perceived the glass as half empty rather than half full (how's that for not-so-positive feedback), but my second husband helped me learn to look for an open window when a door closed. It's amazing what the power of positive thinking can do. It's like a veritable magnet, pulling good fortune in from every direction.
Regarding that half empty/half full glass, somewhere I read about a different paradigm, I don't remember where, but the young lady who wrote the piece had a grand idea. She felt that the glass wasn't half full or half empy at all. Instead, it was half full of water and the rest was full of air. No such thing as a void in her world, eh? I found her comments quite inspirational.
Bless you on your great and glorious journey through life! May you always have such a positive quest before you, and may you learn and grow from it every day in every way.
It's a gorgeous page and a gorgeous photo! I love how you divided the page in two, the layering of the photo/papers/frame and the clusters are just gorgeous and the journalling! Thank you! I thought I was the only ingrate around here! I too find it hard to be thankful, to feel gratitude, I have moments but for the most part I'm asking why instead of being grateful. I love what MsKinsey wrote above too, lovely isn't it? So know you aren't the only one in that quest, and your page is inspiring!
thank you

I know people don't come back for these responses, but I'm hoping there's some crazy chance you all do this time!
THANK YOU! For all your kind words and encouragement, thank you! It's so nice to know we're not alone, especially when what we're struggling with isn't easy to admit. So thank you, ladies!
