JOURNALING ON TAG: Scoreboard speakers at Crew Stadium caught fire 4/27/13. JOURNALING: On 4/27/13, right before the Columbus Crew played DC United at Crew Stadium, the scoreboard caught fire. Quite spectacular to watch. One of the best pre-game shows I've ever seen! On 3/23/14 when the Crew played their home opener against the Philadelphia Union, they unveiled their new hi-def scoreboard and featured a video tribute to that memorable event.
