Journaling:
Columbus Commons, a six acre park in downtown Columbus, played host to the Actor's Theatre of Columbus as they conducted a "remedial English class". The "students" brought their lawn chairs and blankets and sat on the grass in front of the stage. The Commons even provided colorful, comfortable chairs to those who wanted to pay a little extra for the convenience. On stage, a Professor, Coach and Student Teacher tried to review all the great books in literature in time for the final exam. The play takes an irreverent look at as many literary works as it can fit into about 100 minutes.
In an amusing finale, the student teacher tosses off pointed one-sentence summaries of the books that remain untouched. It was a fun evening spent "cramming for the exam". Sunday, September 13, 2015
