I used the new 'tunes' kit Turn It Up from Wendy Tunison Designs
Journaling: I have been raised with music all my life. I remember my Mom and Dad playing their 78's and practicing their round dancing down the basement. I remember turning on the ole tube radio, and stumbling upon my first rock 'n roll station. I'd sit in front of that radio and listen for as long as I could before Mom or Dad would turn it off and tell me it's time to go play outside. I remember getting the best Christmas present ever; a rocket radio. The nose cone was the antenna, and you'd clip the alligator clip to the metal Venetian blinds, put on the included earphones, and dial in whatever radio station was in range. I remember that in 2nd grade, all I wanted was a transistor radio that ran on batteries. I picked strawberries that whole season that year and finally earned enough to get that transistor radio; it was my pride and joy. I took tap and ballet, and danced on top of my father's feet. My first live musical performance was Ike and Tina Turner, touring with Bob Hope. I got to see Elvis, later in his life when he was not at his best. I was totally enamored watching Iron Butterfly doing a half hour of In The Gadda Da Vida. Tears ran down my cheeks with The Moody Blues opening notes of Days of Future Passed. I've stood front and center with The Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald. I've been star-struck when Ringo Starr took the stage with Yellow Submarine. I spent one incredible night with the Eagles in Vegas, where they opened with Hotel California, and I had to leave the concert before they ended because it was 1:00 am and I had to work the next day. I've rubbed shoulders with Elvin Bishop when he came into the crowd and sang. I've had my photo taken and have kibitzed with Marc Cohn. I've shaken Keb' Mo's hand. And then there are these guys: Little Feat. I've been personally invited by their late drummer, Richie Hayward to come up to the green room and hang out with he and the band before the show. I've also been invited backstage and allowed to take as many photos as I wanted; I think I ended up with 300 +. I don't know how much longer Little Feat will be performing, but I plan to hang with them to the end.
