This song struck me the very first time I heard it.  The music drew me in and the lyrics were almost haunting. 


I see the sleep he speaks of as an escape or refuge.  There have been countless sleepless nights where I have just waited and prayed for understanding or a chance to escape from whatever had a hold on me at the time.  


Night is a time of reflection and I've looked at it that way all of my life.  I'm sure I always will.
