JOURNALING: At the 2009 National Figure Skating Championships, Dee Dee Leng won the Junior Ladies Gold Medal. Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir took home the Junior Pairs bronze medal.
May 7, 2014, after two national championships and an Olympic bronze medal, Castelli and Shnapir ended their tempestuous 8-year partnership. Leng, who retired from singles skating in 2009, but came back as a pairs skater in 2012, parted ways with Timothy LeDuc. On May 29, Shnapir and Leng announced they had teamed up, thus beginning a new chapter in their skating story.
