Journaling reads: The museum houses various exhibits including the permanent ones of cultural and natural history of the Memphis area. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Southeast. The Museum derives its name from the Mansion's ornate pink Georgian marble facade. There is also an IMAX theater which is open for movies and special showings such as the Hunchback Whale film, which we saw on our visit. This museum is a "must see" for anyone who visits the Memphis, TN area.
