I'm now disabled with hemiplegia making me unable to play dress-up or take new photos for this challenge so, here I used a photo of myself in early 1989, in Aruba, sitting aboard the Mi Dushi next to it's captain, Miguel.

I made this trip to Aruba with a friend/co-worker (she took the photo).  I was between marriages and oblivious to the fact that I'd begin dating and then marry my current husband later this same year(NOT the man in this photo).  Our 2nd son, born three years later, was a pirate for Halloween at the age of four (that's him at the lower left.  In an attempt to make me look piratey, I copied  my son's head scarf and pasted it atop my head, I also 'cut-out' portions of my beach top to give it a ragged look; and I drew an eyepatch for myself.  Additionally, I made earings for myself using the shells on fish-hooks element from the Ginger Scraps Lost at Sea kit. Everything else is from this kit too, except the pirate hat I gave the captain (however, the skull and crossbones on his hat IS from the kit).

With my journaling at right, I tried to play along with the story for this challenge, it reads as follows(the font is "Thirsty for Souls" and can be found here https://www.dafont.com/thirsty-for-souls.font):  "Getting friendly with the captain!  A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do, right?"

Using the same font for the journaling at the lower left, it reads:  "My little pirate, hiding in the weeds."
