JOURNALING: "Soccer Boy," a bronze statue at Granville High School, honors 2001 grad Lance Connor Senn, who passed away as a freshman walk-on during an OSU v U of Akron soccer match 9/26/01, the result os sudden cardiac death. OSU soccer holds a memorial match each spring to raise money for a scholarship and to endow research into SCD, the leading medical cause of death of college athletes. The plaque on the statue states it is by Jo Saylors. Other sources list Gary Lee Price as the sculptor.
