I was determined to go see the dinosaur tracks at Red Fleet state park. A mile and a half one way didn’t sound like too much and the weather was decent. The trail was strenuous; climbing over slick rock sometimes at a 35° angle or more. Thankfully it was marked every so often with a dinosaur print to help keep people like me on the right trail.  Several cactus were blooming and made the hike more interesting and helped keep my mind from dwelling on the possibility of bears or mountain lions.
At the end, the tracks were difficult to see as the sun was too high in the sky to cast a shadow.
