Journalling reads: We used to pick up you and your sisters from school several days a week when your Mum was at work. I always had a special treat ready for you when you arrived home and paddle pops were a favourite. However there were 3 of you and paddle pops every day would have been too expensive to say nothing of not being healthy for you. So one day a week became Paddle Pop Day and it was eagerly anticipated each week..Even the teachers got in on the act often enquiring whether"today was paddle pop day?". You are all teens and beyond now but I still keep paddle pops in the freezer and you still enjoy the occasional treat when you come to visit. Banana is still on of the favourite flavour choices but rainbow has become a close second.
