Journaling: Apparently, every individual has a reason. Every reason has a story. And every story has a tattoo. Since she'd already managed to acquire a tongue stud without our permission it didn't surprise me, after enlisting in the Marine Corps, our baby-girl got herself a tat! She went with friends to the San Diego Tat Expo and had a very talented artist create a rendition of an event in her life, in which, she'd sprained her ankle and an unknown gentleman asked if he could pray over it. He did, along with several of her friends and many others, and then he disappeared into the crowd. When she stood, her ankle felt much better. The only thing she remembered about the man was his "Integrity" tattoo. She thought of him as her angel, so she had the word surrounded by angel wings and a halo. Now, her largest tattoo has an incredibly, special meaning. After our son-in-law died, Anne felt very inspired to have something to memorialize him. He was a lineman and I noticed, while driving one day, that the old telephone/electrical poles looked like crosses. This inspired her more to draw a sketch of what she was thinking. When she shared it with her favorite tattoo artist, he went wild! Together they came up with an amazing picture of a lineman, climbing a crossed-pole, into the heavens.
