JOURNALING:  Roy Lichtenstein was one of the founders and innovators of pop art, which brought the techniques and content of mechanically reproduced imagery into the world of fine art.  Two of his sculptural pieces are on display in Columbus Ohio, home of The Ohio State University where the artist received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.  “Lamp” is at the entrance to the sculpture garden at the Columbus Museum of Art; “Brushstrokes in Flight” graces the atrium at the John Glenn International Airport.
