It was just a day after a gunman opened fire at Republican congressional baseball practice wounding four people, including majority whip Steve Scalise. David and I had never watched the annual charity event but this year felt compelled to watch it on C-SPAN. Not only was the game more watched on TV than it's ever been, but a record over a million dollars was raised for Congressional Sports for Charity.
