Our church camp had a tradition that we ended last year, called Messy Funtastic. It involved food and fun and a few messy situations. The middle school kids were the only ones “allowed” to participate and they actually looked forward to it. All the events were races so it was a lot of fun to see who could get their brains past the messiness and get done first.

Messy Funtastic is every camper’s aid to achieving a well balanced camp diet. It is here that we learn that fruits are best acquired and absorbed into the body through panty hose pulled over our heads. Exercise is incorporated into our deserts by eliminating the use of hands while searching for candy in a plate of whipped cream. And to make sure there are no hard feelings, all disputes are settled with the “No Hands, Spam Eating Contest.” Needless to say, disputes are very few.
